Austin, TX, September 18, 2017 – ResearchPoint Global (RPG), a privately-held full service contract research organization (CRO), announced that effective September 18, 2017, Bill Taaffe will be joining RPG’s Executive Management Team as Corporate Development Officer. This brings together two recognized veterans, John Farinacci and Bill Taaffe, with close to 80 years of combined experience in the Healthcare and CRO industries.

Taaffe, a veteran in his field with over 40 years of experience within the pharmaceutical and CRO industry, was a founding member of ICON Clinical Research. He held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer, North America, spending nearly two decades with ICON.

Prior to ICON, Taaffe spent two years with Circa Pharmaceuticals, two years with Bioresearch, and 18 years with The Institute of Clinical Pharmacology, serving as Chief Executive Officer, USA. Since leaving ICON, Taaffe has continued to work on a number of Boards of Life Science Companies.
“I’ve been in this industry for a long time and have had the pleasure of collaborating with John on many occasions over the years. Following a call with John I realized that retirement was not for me, just yet. John joked about riding off into the sunset and closing out our careers together. It was an offer I could not refuse,” said Taaffe.
