Business Development Director
Description:
The business development director will have a demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding quota and be accountable for full cycle account development. Primary responsibilities include:
- Identify new opportunities and grow existing business.
- Promote the company as a leading provider of outsourced clinical development work for Pharma and Biotech companies.
- Building/growing a strong pipeline of new business opportunities through high-volume prospecting efforts.
- “Owning” the sales process from initial contact through company presentations, proposal response, and contract execution.
- Build strong enduring relationships with customers. Secure and retain business through sales activities directed at decision-makers.
- Deliver complete solutions with long term recurring or repeat business revenue streams.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and be able to present in both small and large group settings.
- Ability to think on your feet, identify and resolve issues in a quick, effective manner.
- Must have a polished, professional presentation style.
- Experience presenting to C-level executives and the ability to identify key decision-makers.
- High level of energy, enthusiasm, and productivity in prospecting efforts.
- 4-7 years of sales or BD experience centered on pharma & biotech deals. Specific experience selling CRO services for a minimum of 2 years is required.
